  Feature Description
Complex projects demand structure.  Usually, certain tasks cannot begin unless another is completed.

This can be tricky to manage when the project contains several tasks that depend on the successful completion of others. Task dependencies are the ideal way to control when a task can start. In fact, we consider task dependencies an essential part of a project management software.

Task dependencies let you decide when a task can be started. For example, testing a software bundle can only start after building the application file is completed. AceProject lets you specify that a task can only start after one or several other tasks are completed.

Moreover, you can set lag time between dependent tasks, so that the task can only start after the previous task has been completed for a specific amount of time. For example, in a construction project, you may need to let the foundation concrete dry before installing the floor over it. With AceProject, you can set the amount of lag time required, so the second task can only start after a set number of hours have elapsed sine its predecessor was completed.

Dates are automatically adjusted. If a task is completed 2 days earlier than planned, its successor task will be set to start earlier as well!
